SWARAJ TROPHY
The Swaraj Trophy for the best panchayat from Kasaragod district has been awarded to Cheruvathur Grama Panchayat seven times. In 1996, Adv. Mr. Mammootty was the president and received the Swaraj Trophy award for the first time. During the 2016-17 Governing Council, Mr. Madhavan Maniyara was the president four times, and during the 2021-22 Governing Council, Mr. Prameela C. V. was the president twice.
